A successful candidate will bring their advanced knowledge of fabricating and TIG and MIG welding. Must be meticulous, possess a high attention to detail and have very good manual dexterity. Must be open minded, possess a growth mindset approach to solving problems, open to learning new things and have the ability to collaborate in a group setting. 

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Utilize CAD drawings and/or general conversations to manufacture aluminum or steel parts and components using welding methods such as TIG or MIG.
  • Create gear cubby’s, bunk beds, roof bars, water tank risers, battery trays and many other custom items for adventure vans.
  • Install components and assemblies into vans as needed.
  • Van build preparation such as cutting in holes for vents, windows etc.
  • Coordination of workflow and purchasing of tools and supplies as needed.

The unique and exciting part of this job is that secondary job duties may include:

  • Installation of other miscellaneous items such as seating, roof racks, windows, bumpers, awnings, solar panels, vents and other items related to adventure van builds. 

Working Skill Sets:

  • Practical skills required for using metal shop hand tools and welding machines. 
  • Ability to manage deadlines and expectations on several jobs at the same time. 
  • Experience as a yacht builder or van upfitter is a plus.
  • Tidy work that is precise, organized and cleanly executed. Finished work is durable, elegant aesthetic.
  • You will also need patience, attention to detail and the ability to maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Possess the ability to verbally and written communicate and articulate the status of a task and troubleshoot problems.

A successful candidate will bring CAD skills as it relates to design and fabrication of van products from cabinetry, van layouts to components using Fusion 360 or similar. You will work alongside designers and van builders and prepare supporting documentation that includes product materials and dimensions for manufacturing and also be responsible for updating our internal database. Applicants for this part-time position should have a technical background in drafting or construction design and experience with CAD software. CNC operator skills are a plus.

Duties to include:

  • Develop technical drawings using CAD software
  • Make revisions and obtain approval from the designer
  • Maintain a database of drawings
  • Prepare supporting documentation that includes product materials and dimensions
  • Distribute drawings to internal departments and external contractors

Working Skill Sets:

A successful candidate will bring their advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical aptitude 12volt, 110volt and understanding of electricity as it relates to the automotive and/or the RV industry. Must be open minded and possess a growth mindset approach to solving problems, have the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and be able to share your knowledge and collaborate in a group setting. 

Primary Job Description: Systems / Electrical Technician. 

  • Electrical Systems Designer/Installer: Must have advanced knowledge of 12volt, 110 volt systems. Including solar, lithium batteries, inverters, battery monitoring systems, USB ports, 110 receptacles, cabin lighting, exterior lighting including, 12 volt switches etc.
  • Plumbing installations: Water pumps, faucets, shower mixers, sinks and shower pans.
  • Heating units: Installation of complete Espar Diesel heating systems including fans, duct work, thermostats and control panels. 
  • Galley: Installation of refrigerators and sinks, microwave and induction cooktops.
  • Complete audio systems installation.
  • Installation of seating.
  • Install sound deadening material, flooring, wall panels, cargo control anchors etc.
  • Installing exterior components such as suspension upgrades, bumpers, lighting, awnings, solar panels, electric running boards etc. 
  • Customer service experience and confident handling client facing interactions.

Working Skill Sets:

  • Practical skills required for using hand and machine tools such as saws, sanders, screw/rivet guns and other metal and woodworking equipment. 
  • Experience as a yacht builder or van upfitter is a plus.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and expectations on several jobs at the same time. 
  • Tidy work that is precise, organized and cleanly executed. Finished work is durable, elegant aesthetic.

You should have practical skills required for using hand and machine tools such as saws, sanders, routers, drill presses and other woodworking equipment. Must be open minded and possess a growth mindset approach to solving problems and learning new things, share your knowledge and collaborate in a group setting. We prefer candidates who have completed a training program or apprenticeship in woodworking, but will consider candidates who have extensive industry experience.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Assembly, finishing and installation of cabinetry, wall panels and other van related parts. 
  • Misc. finish work for interiors such as installing wall panels and cargo control systems.
  • Sound deadening material application, wall upholstery, flooring and laminate installation.
  • Installation of seating.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a safe and clean work area.
